An architect who possesses demonstrated strength in marketing,
team leadership and strategic thinking is sought to join existing principals
within in a busy and growing architecture, interior design and planning
firm that produces prestigious healthcare projects internationally. Located
in the firm’s downtown San Francisco office, this is an incredible opportunity
for a senior architect to join a highly respected firm at the principal
level.
This exceptional firm was founded in 1940, specializes in healthcare
and academic projects and has won more than 70 awards for design excellence,
including a statewide AIA Firm Award. With four offices in
the U.S. and abroad, the firm enjoys an extremely low employee turnover

The Health Care Principal will be accountable for the financial performance
and marketing success of a 12- to 20-person studio. Having absolute
authority over design direction, the Principal also is responsible for
ultimate work quality and has a hands-on role in the design process.
Other expectations of the Principal include conducting frequent design
review sessions, serving as a point of contact with clients and maintaining
a targeted utilization rate.
Qualified candidates will possess a B. Arch, 15 years experience and
current California architectural registration or NCARB certification.
Expertise in health care, marketing, client relations and project management
is required. Proven ability as a principal in a large, national health
care practice is preferred. Experience with OSHPD and Academic medical
centers is a plus.
