Senior Planner/Landscape Architect

A leading residential architecture and planning firm that has produced award-winning work throughout the U.S. for 35 years is seeking a registered landscape architect and/or land planner to manage and contribute to projects focused in the Western Region. This is a 170-person firm operating nine offices nationwide. The Senior Planner/Landscape Architect will be based in El Dorado Hills, CA.

Recognized as a pioneer in residential community planning, as well as architectural design, the firm specializes in mixed-use, master-planned and resort-style communities. The firm offers full-scope landscape architecture services including community identity packages, rendering, landscape and hardscape design and community standards and guidelines in addition to architecture and planning services.

The Senior Planner/Landscape Architect will be responsible for computer mapping, plotting and layout as well as parcel development and specific site plans. As project manager, this person also will be responsible for client satisfaction, representing the firm and attending design charettes. The key to success in this position will be versatility, as the position presents an exciting range of opportunities. Design ability, zoning and code knowledge, and awareness of up-to-date planning trends and techniques are essential.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture or Planning and at least three years of experience in a private professional practice. California registration as a landscape architect or an AICP is preferred. Good writing and graphic skills and experience with AutoCAD, Photoshop and Illustrator are a must. 3-D modeling experience is a plus.
