Architectural Designer

Located in desirable Denver, Colorado, this firm is recognized for its expertise in a full range of higher education facilities from teaching and research laboratory buildings to conference and dining facilities. Additionally, the firm has an extensive track record in quality, institutional and urban-infill residential projects. The firm's goal is to expand its portfolio of on-campus and off-campus projects into the self-funded/auxiliary services segment for colleges and universities and the military high-density and mixed-use residential projects. Capturing larger projects than is typical for a mid-sized firm, there is a need for a progressive, self-directed architect to lead the firm's newly formed college auxiliary services group.

This senior architect will augment the efforts of the firm's principal in the marketing and design of college and university buildings including on-campus dormitories, off-campus apartment-style student housing, athletic and recreation centers, performing arts centers, student unions, and dining and food service buildings. This individual will manage these projects and the teams working on them, help the principal identify opportunities, participate in interviews, design competitions and RFP submittals, and deliver completed construction documents.

Qualifications include a Masters in Architecture, at least ten years of architectural experience demonstrating a successful track record of securing new work, and a leadership role at the level of associate or principal in the completion of a minimum of two college dormitory projects within the past five years. The successful candidate will have strong interview/presentation and excellent graphic communication skills including both hand rendering and AutoCAD 2000.
